what happened to the stolen generation

In the 1900s, many Indigenous children were forcibly removed from their families and communities. It’s estimated that as many as 1 in 3 Indigenous children were taken between 1910 and the 1970s, affecting most Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in Australia. This all took place under past Australian Government policies.

Taking children away from their homes, families and communities caused a lot of pain and sadness that still exists today. Stolen Generations survivors suffered a huge amount of grief and trauma, losing their connections to family, identity, land, language and culture. These children have become known as the Stolen Generations.

=== A 와  The 의 차이점

Hey. where are you going? I'm going to the bus stop /  the grocery store (흔히말하는 슈퍼) / the mall or the shopping mall

Can you close the door?

Can you turn on the light?  Sure I'll turn on the light.

Can you get me the cup please?  Here you are.

I watched a movie this morning.

Really? How was the movie?

The movie was not my type. / The movie was boring.

Hey, how was the trip?

The trip was really good. I had so much fun on the trip.

Can you recomemd a good restaurant?  (good song, good drama, good movie, good book)

I recomemd 당산 허브 족발. The restaurant has really good 족발.

If you like. I can recomend a colleague

Is there a park near here?   (a bus stop)

Yes, there is a park over there. The park is really big.

Do you know where a bank is?

Do you have a pen? a car , a girl friend

What did you do today?

I bougth a book.

I had a fried chicken, I watched a drama.

3. 2탄 a 도 the 도 아닌경우

Do you go to university?

I go to high school?

Where are you going? I'm going to school.

What did you do today?

I went to the university to meet my friend.

My mom came to the school to pick me up.

I don't go to church.

I'm going to work. I don't wanna go to work.

Where are you now? I'm at work

When do you go to bed?

I should go to bed now.
